Pictures are up! Yay for progress. They would have been up over the weekend, but I thought that IE’s non-compliance foiled me. It ended up that I only had to discover the compliant way to do what I wanted and write a little script to make it work in all browsers.

The weekend was quite good. It started on Friday night with the Yankees taking on the Dodgers. It was a high-quality game that ultimately resulted in a victory for Los Angeles. I was an impartial observor, happy for the Dodgers winning, but discouraged at a Yankee loss. My neutrality to the outcome notwithstanding, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Saturday’s belated birthday dinner with Barb and Murray was excellent! It was preluded by an enjoyable late afternoon and early evening of conversing and such.

Sunday was a very lazy day. Breakfast did not occur, unfortunately. I spent a good part of the waking morning and early afternoon reading Cryptonomicon, which continues to be of superior quality. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing Halo with Vim and a bunch of his friends down at his apartment. (I was dominating everybody for the record, hehe.) That evening was a party at Einhorn’s, which I departed in time to get back home and fall asleep for today. Father’s Day festivities were incorporated therein.

Speaking of today, it went pretty well. Not too much work to do. The drive home, however, was worse than abominable. For the first 30 minutes, I moved a singular mile. I found out that there was a monster accident being cleared about 10 miles ahead, at which point I decided to take surface streets home. I’m confident that that was the correct and more time-efficient course of action, ultimately. It came out to nearly two hours, though. Bah!! Stupid L.A. traffic. If I believed in such things, I would want to become the Patron Saint of Traffic, at least within Los Angeles. That would make everything much easier.

After hearing that the New York Times tore apart Clinton’s book, I have decided to read Chernow’s instead. If I’m dedicating the necessary time to 900+ pages of reading, it’s going to be on a quality text.

Unsure what the rest of the week has in store for me work-wise. I don’t think the projects in progress are going to maintain the necessary activity level. We shall see what is in store. I am also behind on seeing movies. This will have to remedied this week and weekend.
