The week has been moving along quite nicely. As usual, not any big events have occurred, but enough small things have such that an update is warranted.
Work has been pretty good as of late. I’ve been doing stuff with Excel, numbers, formulae, etc. How can you go wrong? Doesn’t mean I can’t wait for the weekend, though.
As I was walking to lunch on Tuesday, a lady came up to me on the street and asked me if I worked at the Bank of America. I said no, but then she continued to talk to me, asking where I did work, where I was from, what the book I was carrying was about, etc. It caught me off-guard and I generally am not forthcoming of information with random people. She walked away after a few minutes of discussion. It got me started thinking about how self-absorbed people are and other related maladies in our society. It seems like everyone is taught to ignore and not consider others. Not just on the street either, but as a general philosophy. Why does helping or thinking of others help me? *sigh* I could go on, but I shan’t.
Alex and Karlo came over last night to shoot some pool and throw some darts. A good time was had by all. I won the vast majority of games, which is always good for an ego boost.
I got a GMail account yesterday. After some use today, I have decided it is awesome. It would have been particularly useful around April and May for one reason (with a very high word/KB count) in particular. It will be used for “beta testing purposes” (read: having fun with when convenient). I got an Orkut account also, though that is not very entertaining yet. If you wish to help me in testing my new GMail account, my address is my last name @gmail.com. Not to worry though, my primary e-mail is not changing anytime soon.
Reading has been going at a good rate. Hopefully, it will continue. On a related note, GMAT studying has not yet begun. Bah. By request, a remaining page count will come soon.
