I hope everyone is having or has had a festivous, enjoyable 4th of July. Happy 228th birthday to the United States carved from the Declaration of Independence. (No mentioning of July 2nd versus July 4th, please.)

I brought my awesome digital camera (Sony DSC-F717) to the fireworks show. Unfortunately, the majority of the photos did not turn out to well because of a positioning problem. I thought I had a perspective free of impediment with my camera on my tripod, but, alas, the fireworks did not shoot as high as anticipated. So, some compromising in the form of turning the tripod into a monopod and propping on my foot had to occur. A preliminary perusal of the images shows a few all right ones and one that was pretty good. The rest are quite squiggly. Considering it was my first time attempting photographing fireworks, I am not too upset, especially because I know they would have been awesome otherwise. Another effort shall be made next year. Photos that are satisfactory or better will be posted soon.

I also have some other photos taken by me that will soon appear.

For those who are curious, the official page count stands at 3150 pages. This is a preliminary number; a revised figure will be posted soon. (If the government is allowed such luxuries, then why not me.)

Monday off should be highly restful. I plan on seeing Fahrenheit 9/11; it should be entertaining. Other than that, not much else is planned. Minimal energy will be expended.
