First off, work was the same for the rest of the week: tedious and monotonous. So no real news there. But I do have Monday off!! This pleases me greatly.
Bourne Supremacy was very good. I certainly wouldn’t have had a problem paying to see it. If you liked the first one (Bourne Identity), you will enjoy the sequel as well. If you didn’t see or don’t remember the first movie very well, rent it and then see Bourne Supremacy. I doubt you will be disappointed. The traffic going there was pretty bad, but Alex and I got there early enough to get decent seats. The only problem was that the theatre was quite small, but this was a minor and not completely unexpected annoyance.
Adam was in town Friday night, so we hung out and saw Napoleon Dynamite in the only theatre it was playing at within the greater San Fernando Valley area. And there is a good reason for that, too. I could probably go on a rant about that movie, but I will just say that except for a couple of good moments, the movie was fairly bad overall. Ask me for details, if you want them.
Yesterday morning involved errands and miscellanea, all house-related. Speaking of which, if these gate people aren’t here putting up this stupid gate for the pool area tomorrow morning, they are going to pray to never make another mistake ever again. In any event, that afternoon involved a trip to Santa Ana to visit and have dinner with Barb and Murray. The trip was very enjoyable, and it was good to get away from the house for the day, despite the traffic (105 minutes outbound, 90 minutes inbound (stupid 605 connector accident)).
So far today, I went out to breakfast and ran a couple more errands. Then I watched Identity on DVD (yay for two free weeks of Netflix). It’s a very good movie, one that I am glad I got around to watching.
Today I must do some GMAT studying as well as go running for a while. I am certainly out of shape just based upon the fact that I have hardly exercised at all (exceptions include 45 minutes of tennis and walking around downtown for three and a half hours) this summer. Well, I have some time to get back into shape, and I intend to do so. I shall be taking the GMAT on 14 August, three weeks from yesterday. I anticipate this to be a sufficient amount of time to adequately study and do well. Afterwards, I have to start dealing with business school apps (oh, the joy).
I deem that to be sufficient public record of the past few days of my life.
