The week started off well, off the heels of the weekend. And then it gradually got slower and slower as the amount of work dwindled. Today, I did nothing productive except for stuffing envelopes. Fortunately, other things have been going on whilst not at work. And they are more interesting.
First off, I finished two books this week, both of which were quite good. This, however, means I must now make time for reading GMAT study books. Fun stuff. Thursday was very fun. Vim and I perused and reconnoitered downtown L.A., having Mexican for dinner and enjoying ourselves at various places. We met up with a couple of his friends later on at the relaxing Hotel Figueroa. Good times were had.
Plans for this weekend include, oddly enough, another reconnoitering of downtown L.A., but in the persuit of art this time. Also have tickets for I, Robot, though I am not expecting it to be of high-quality. It was originally written independently of the Asimov novel under the title Hardwire, and, from what I heard, it is nothing like it save for the three Laws of Robotics. On a related note, I got a free pass to an advanced screening of The Bourne Supremacy. I still need to see the first movie, The Bourne Identity, so that will have to be rented this week. The (original) books are supposed to be quite good as well, so they may have to go on the fall reading list.
Sunday is somewhat open right now, but if Adam is around, lunch and a movie will most likely ensue. Coupled with breakfast, that day may be busy also. And then, after that evening, it will be Monday again! Um, can someone loan me some time? A few extra hours a day would be nice. No points or fees, though. And competitive rates would be nice too. I’m a good creditee, check my FICA score.
The government better give me a big rebate check come April. They are taking entirely too much money off my paycheck as of right now. Greedy bastards!
Tonight should be mostly relaxation. As such, I am going to now endeavour to switch the “should” into a “was.”
