Before I begin, Moses referred to Edwin Moses who always wore a watch when he ran.

Well, this week has been quite slow. Unbelievably so. All of the managers have been at some retreat for the past two days, and I was left with essentially no work to do. Before that, they hadn’t been giving me work just because things were winding up, and I suspect everyone (myself included) was and has been waiting for the long weekend to come. This will result in early departure from work tomorrow. Rumors indicate 3. Prior knowledge correlates with the rumors.

Slowness has been everywhere, not just work. People in and around downtown walk entirely too slow for me to handle. (I am reminded of being told that I do not walk at a Californian speed, or something to that effect.) In addition, there seem to be a higher than usual ratio of slow drivers on the freeways this week. Slowness is a pet peeve of mine. Really, why do something in two minutes when it would be just as easily done in one? My usual response is manuveuring around the impediment and going ahead at my faster pace. It works, but slowness still annoys the heck out of me.

I decided that I want to put together a photo essay of downtown L.A. before the summer is over. There are a lot of nice places, good views, etc. that I think would come together really well. Coupled with my penchant for photography, it seems like a good idea. I’ll have to put some sort of plan together and make a day out of it. The essay will be duly posted online upon completion. More details to follow when I think of them.

Despite the slowness of the week, I have generally had an upbeat attitude. Things are getting done around the house. Progress is being made. GMAT studying will commence this weekend (I know, I know). Right now, it is up to time to run its course.
