Work hasn’t changed at all since last I posted. It continues to be rather dull and uninteresting right now. I am hoping for an interesting project to roll my way. I don’t know if such hope is futile or not, but anything is better than dealing with mounds of paper.
Running has been progressing nicely. Right now I’m doing it four times per week. After a couple more runs, I’m going to start lengthing them out a little bit. Eventually, I want to get back up to five miles (during the peak of my running, I ran up to ten miles per day and 30 miles per week). Then I will start pushing down the time. No specific goals on that yet; I’ll have to see where I’m at after hitting the five mile mark.
The weekend went quite well; it was the best I’ve had as of late. Friday night involve seeing Vim’s friend’s band, Augustus, play at a club down on Melrose. That was followed by some late night video gaming to pass some time before driving back home.
Saturday morning, despite going to bed at 330 the evening prior, I woke up at 8 with no artificial stimulus. This really upset me, but it turned out that I wasn’t really tired the whole day, so it ended up being not too bad. That morning involved breakfast and then a trip to Ventura for dinner at the pier at a very good restaurant with some very good company.
This afternoon, I went out to lunch and a movie with Vim and Alex. Specifically, we saw The Manchurian Candidate, which we agreed was good until they messed up the ending. Overall, the weekend was fun and relaxing. Although it was hardly productive, I needed a weekend devoid of significant responsibility.
Now to prepare for the week ahead.
