It’s been almost two weeks (again) since I’ve posted. I’ve been both busy and distracted, occasionally at the same time which has been interesting. But motivation finally kicked in today, so those two things shan’t be intersecting anymore. They will be entirely segregated from now on. No, really, they will be.
I’ve decided that it’s time to pick up the reading again on a more consistent basis. With schoolwork and such, it takes a more conscious effort since I’m not a particularly fast reader (which makes reading less casual by it taking longer). On a related note, the summer reading list needs to be changed into the fall one. Though I didn’t complete it over the summer, which was never really expected since it was a lofty goal, I came close to my objective, so that counts as a quasi-success. The first book of the new semester shall be Broken Angels, which is the second book by Richard K. Morgan (the first one being Altered Carbon, which is an awesome book, and one that I recommend). After that, I think I’m going to read the Bourne trilogy. Anyways, enough about books.
School has been going pretty well, except for my laziness that was alleviated earlier today. Classes have been interesting for the most part, and the work load hasn’t been bad at all yet. (I don’t mean to brag by the way, because that is guaranteed to change in a couple of weeks.)
I really need to buy a new keyboard so I can get my computers straightened up and put in their permanent locations. That will have to be done this weekend along with other assorted shopping errands I should do. Oh, and Slackware is awesome, though I didn’t appreciate Windows rebelling when it realized it was going to die. Stupid survival instincts.
I acquired tickets for the Beasties Boys concert at MSG on the 9th! That should be really awesome, especially since I managed to somehow get decent seats from Ticketmaster (ugh to fees on top of fees). I could have stood without another excuse to spend money, but I guess I’ll just have to deal with it somehow. I’ve also never been inside MSG before (I know, shame on me), so the concert will remedy that problem as well.
I’m too tired to write much more on here at the moment. Stupid lack of sleep. And I really should do laundry, the operative word being “should.” That, of course, has been the operative word in a lot of sentences as of late. Yay pillars.
