So packing up the boxes went as well as could be expected. In total, I shipped off 17 boxes (almost half of them books) from the UPS Store on Wednesday. I was surprised to be complemented for my organization (which seemed weird since I don’t know how one would effectively ship that many boxes and not be organized) and my packing of the boxes (which instilled confidence that everything would get back to L.A. intact). However, despite the fact that they said the tracking numbers would be emailed to me, no such thing was or is in my inbox. *crosses fingers*

Class day, commencement, and lunch thereafter all went quite well. Except for the boring guest speaker, class day was entertaining. It involved shaking hands with the dean (Zvi!!), getting my name called, etc. Commencement, despite everyone’s insistence that it would be boring, turned out to be quite entertaining. That was in large part due to our school’s spirit and willingness to use the provided noise-makers. After commencement, Sharon and I picked up our diplomas and some Columbia Engineering gear (including an engineering tie for me of which I am quite pleased) and made our way to Cafe des Artistes for an excellent and very enjoyable lunch.

After some delay, I got Odin shipped out today. Unfortunately, I discovered all UPS Stores are not, in fact, equal. The one we went to by the 520 quoted much better prices than the one I ended up getting it packed and shipped from. Furthermore, the employee’s packing methodology was not confidence inspiring. Odin better get back there fully intact and functional; otherwise, UPS is going to be getting many ear-fulls from me. *crosses other fingers*

Despite the fact that most of the occupants of Sharon’s house have fallen victim to various levels of malady, I have been unaffected by sickness. Unfortunately, Sharon has been sick for the past week and a half, so the majority of the AC trip had to be cancelled. We’re going to try and take a day trip tomorrow if she’s up to it. Otherwise, we’ll have to put off gambling adventures until she comes out to LA and we can head off to Vegas. Also, we’re going to try and make a trip into NYC on Friday for some various things and to enjoy the downtown area. Then Saturday, I’m off and flying (for free, yay airline miles) back to the City of Angels.

Also, I plan on being a nerd by writing a Firefox extension, which should prove to be entertaining and challenging. It’s suppose to keep track of your history such that when you go back and then go somewhere else, you don’t lose the sites in your forward history.

Now I must collect laundry from the dryer and then get to sleep.
