I warned some that I would post this quote in my LJ, so here it comes. Thinking along the lines of suing copyright violators, releasing DVDs sooner, taking away rights from legitimate customers, etc. will not solve the movie industry’s woahs. To quote Vim, in reply to my diatribe on what’s wrong with the movie […]

Slashdot posted <a href=”http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000143050582/”>an article</a> this morning about Microsoft putting display DRM into Longhorn. Essentially, if your monitor is too good, then it will take the video signal, downsize it, and then restretch it to fit your monitor. This not only makes the visible video quality that much lower, but it’s a completely absurd way […]
Tonight, for Sharon’s birthday, she and I went to Video Games Live. It was the first concert in their tour where an orchestra plays awesome video game music with video from the games themselves along with the occasional lasers and live action. The first thing that happened involved Sharon’s shirt being videotaped because she was […]
So apparently I haven’t updated in over a month. Whoops. Well, here are some brief bullet points which will attempt to adequately sum up the past month.
– All of my stuff arrived at home and was predominately unharmed. The computer made it back all right, despite the less than great packing job by the moron […]
So packing up the boxes went as well as could be expected. In total, I shipped off 17 boxes (almost half of them books) from the UPS Store on Wednesday. I was surprised to be complemented for my organization (which seemed weird since I don’t know how one would effectively ship that many boxes and […]
Holy crap, graduation is only two days away! The latest on business school is that I’ve only heard from Stanford and, expectedly, they did not admit me. I should be getting my other decisions in a week or two.
Classes this semester turned out fairly well. Only one class ended up being worse than I expected. […]
So my birthday was yesterday. I had the joy of going to classes and doing much work all day long. Sharon got me the <a href=”http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002Y69NG/102-7340956-0818547″>Ultimate Matrix Collection</a>, which I was quite pleased with. That skyrockets my Matrix DVD count to thirteen now. (I refuse to make the obvious horrible joke here.)
Sharon also decided to […]
All of my business school apps are finally finished!! I finished up and electronically sent off my UCLA app yesterday. Except for the possible loose transcript or recommendation, all I can do now is wait for responses (whilst crossing my fingers profusely). However, this doesn’t assist much in lowering my workload for the rest of […]
<a href=”http://www.livejournal.com/users/osmodion/18796.html”>So I went with Sharon to Los Angeles this weekend for the purpose of looking at the campuses of schools she got into.</a> The trip itself was pleasant; it was nice to get away from Columbia. However, the voyage back to school went about as badly as possible.
Since we booked the trip on short […]
So, it’s around 10:30 in the morning. I’ve been up all night coding away with Amy, and our project has finally reached completion! Despite a few minor bugs, it turned out pretty well.
The Rules for Coding All Night (only a partial list)
0) Multiple forms/media of caffeine are necessary.
1) Refrigerated pizza is the breakfast of champions.
2) […]
